Taunt Buddy v1.35
Taunt Buddy v1.35
Taunt Buddy is a very simple addon. Whenever your taunt gets resisted or when your mocking blow fails, it spams a channel automatically. You can customize the text you want to be spammed. You can choose the channel you want the announcement to be made in. You can turn it on and off.
Now, to make this simple addon even easier to use, I added a graphical user interface. You can do everything you could do with console commands with this GUI. Just type /TB to pop it up. The old console commands are still available of course.
Unpack the zip file in the ../interface/addons/ folder.
/tb help
/tb status
/tb [on | off]
/tb [auto | raid | ctraid | party]
/tb channel [channel name | channel number]
/tb text [taunt | mb] new text
Console commands with details:
/tb help – Lists those commands in game
/tb status – Current options
/tb [ on | off ] – Enables / Disables Taunt Buddy.
Note: Taunt Buddy will be enabled by default when you log in. Disabling Taunt Buddy with this command only remains in the current session.
/tb [ auto | party | raid | ctraid ] – The channel the announcements will be made in.
auto:
If you are in raid, if you have the ct_raidassist addon installed and if you have assist, it will spam in the raid channel and in raid assist channel.
If you are in raid but you dont have ct_raidassist, or if you dont have assist, it will spam only in the raid channel.
If you are only in a party (not in a raid), it will spam in the party channel.
It won’t do anything if you aren’t in a party or raid.
party:
It will only spam in the party channel, even if you are in a raid.
It won’t do anything if you aren’t in a party.
raid:
It will only spam in the raid channel, even if you have have assist in ct raidassist.
It won’t do anything if you aren’t in a raid.
ctraid:
It will spam in the raid channel AND in ct raid channel. If you dont have assist, it will only spam in raid channel.
It won’t do anything if you aren’t in a raid.
/tb channel [channel name | channel number] – The announcements will be made in that custom chat channel. You must be in the channel, you won’t join the channel automatically. You can use both channel names or channel numbers. But I recommend using channel names. Because when you join/leave some other channels, the channel numbers can change and you can spam a channel you don’t actually want to.
/tb text [taunt | mb] new text – Customizes the announcement text.
The default text for resisted taunts is: ** My taunt has been resisted by (mobs name)**
The default text for failed mocking blows is: ** My mocking blow failed against (mobs name)**
but you can change it as you wish, for example:
/tb text taunt –::== he resisted my taunt ==::–
In order to use the target name in the text, you can use %t. for example:
/tb text taunt -= %t resisted my taunt =-
Please send me feedback and don’t hesitate to say anything you don’t like about it.
Have fun.
